So if you're having trouble getting your characters imported, remember the only difference will be visual (mostly the 2D portrait), and the most important thing is set up the world state itself that you want to use in Inquisition. In both cases you will need to go into the tapestry to choose what you did in that play-through / world state. You could do nearly the same thing in the Keep by choosing a default hero matching your character's race and class. The only things that sync are your character's name, portrait, class, race and achievements However, please remember that syncing your characters is not required. If you're here, then you're probably having trouble getting your characters from Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 to show up in the Keep - and if so, read on. You can use this to engage several cheats like immortality and insta-killing all enemies in the area.The Dragon Age Keep will be where all of our game decisions are stored from now on for import into Dragon Age: Inquisition and forward. Unfortunately it's invisible, but when activated your characters will be uncontrollable, so that's a sure sign it's working. With this all finished, hitting F8 in-game will activate the developer's console. Make sure you add a space before this extra command. Right click on the Dragon Age 2 shortcut, and click on “Properties”, and then add “-enabledeveloperconsole” at end of the “Target” field. Then you'll have to adjust your shortcut's target. However, I found that this wouldn't work, so chose F8 instead. You can make the button anything you'd like, and most players use the tilde button above Tab. In the file, change the “OpenConsole_0=” line to “OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_F8”.
You'll need to adjust your 'KeyBindings.ini' file in your Dragon Age settings directory (found at Users\\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\Settings).
It requires a bit of technical wizardry first though. Like all the best PC games, Dragon Age 2 has a developer's console than can be access to make adjustments in-game.
